An increasing number of coaches are moving away from the use of isolated exercises. It turns out that clients achieve much better results thanks to functional training. What is worth knowing about it? What information is the most important before starting it?

Functional training for everyone

There are really no limits when it comes to this training system! Women, men, teenagers, adults, seniors, people who are slim, have a lot of muscle mass or excess weight - everyone can start doing functional training. What is more, this training model is suitable for practically every sport discipline. Its effectiveness in strengthening muscles and improving body functionality can be used to correct movement patterns or eliminate pain associated with low activity levels.

Complex effects of functional training

The unquestionable advantage of functional training is its multidimensional effect on the body. Training plans in the form of station circuits not only help to overcome boredom, but also ensure involvement on various levels. Participants can improve their condition, increase their fitness, improve their deep feeling (central stabilisation of the trunk), increase the flexibility of the musculoskeletal structures and ensure an optimal range of joint mobility. What is more, functional training helps to control the correct body weight and to eliminate excess body fat.

Functional training with and without equipment

Most functional training classes are held in fitness clubs, where instructors use a wide range of equipment.
