The term calisthenics is used to describe a form of strength training which allows you to develop your current body shape and build your muscles by using your own body weight. The main assumption of training at home with the use of calisthenics is to ensure that the correct exercise technique is followed - contrary to a popular belief, calisthenics exercises are extremely demanding and therefore it is worth checking the level of your own fitness beforehand. Today, calisthenics is also one of the forms of outdoor training, which is a commonly referred to as street workout - exercises carried out in the urban space.

Many athletes using this training system indicate that it is enough to perform only 6 basic calisthenic exercises to effectively strengthen and shape all muscle groups. In addition, training at home with the use of calisthenics is great for improving coordination, deep feeling, stability and endurance. The essential calisthenics exercises include:
