BCAAs or EAAs - which to choose for supporting your training?

The market of dietary supplements offers many products with various ingredients, which may prove to be valuable support during your workouts. Often you can see products containing amino acids, often referred to as the foundation of supplementation for exercising people. Which ones are worth choosing? BCAAs or EAAs?

Which amino acids to choose? The differences between BCAAs and EAAs

BCAAs are amino acids whose characteristic feature is a branching of the lateral aliphatic chain (hence they are often referred to as branched exogenous amino acids). There are three essential components in this complex: L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine. According to common knowledge, they constitute as much as half of the essential amino acids that are found in everyday food. Moreover, they are attributed to almost 35% of all the exogenous amino acids that contribute to muscle proteins.

EAAs are a group of eight amino acids, which are also exogenous and must be supplied to the body with the daily diet. What are these amino acids? In addition to the BCAA complex described above, there are also some other amino acids that need to be mentioned: L-lysine, L-phenylalanine, L-methionine, L-threonine and L-tryptophan. It is therefore easy to see that the two amino acid groups overlap, thanks to the three components mentioned above.

In both cases, animal proteins are a rich source, although some plant products (e.g. legume seeds) are also increasingly being mentioned. Despite significant differences in the amount of amino acids present, BCAAs and EAAs equally are a valuable choice when working on an athletic body shape, which is associated, among other things, with the mechanisms of synthesis of new muscle proteins as well as the effect on nitrogen balance.

BCAAs or EAAs - which to choose as a supplement?

Olimp Sport Nutrition offers a variety of products that allow you to supplement your daily diet with both BCAAs and EAAs. All of those products are manufactured in modern laboratories of the Olimp Laboratories pharmaceutical company using high-quality raw materials, which have been previously subjected to microbiological purity analysis. All this is done to ensure a high standard and necessary safety during use.

Which product should you choose? In the case of branched-chain amino acids, it is worthwhile to use BCAA Xplode, which in addition to the BCAA complex contains the valuable addition of L-glutamine. In the case of EAAs, Amino EAA Xplode will be useful support, providing more than 9 g of the most important ingredients in each serving, which are valuable for, among others, muscle building and diets that require a high intake of protein. Both products have been enriched with B vitamins (e.g. niacin, B6), which will additionally ensure optimal functioning of the nervous system and help reduce the feeling of excessive fatigue. Amino acids from the Olimp Sport Nutrition brand are characterized by incredible solubility and their unique and refreshing flavours will help quench even the greatest thirst!
