…try Almond Coconut Spread soft crunchy! This is a unique almond and coconut composition made of high-quality ground almonds and grated coconut, with the addition of natural honey. The product is 100% natural, with no salt or palm oil.
As proven by tests, almond butter regulates the cholesterol level. It contains a good source of vitamin E, so it has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effects. It reduces the risk of the accumulation of atherosclerotic plaque. It has a low glycaemic index, thanks to which it prevents excessive burdening of the pancreas, and at the same time it constitutes a good source of carbohydrates for diabetics. It reduces the absorption of sugars in the digestive tract. Due to the conversion of fats into sugars, it can support weight loss. 
Almonds are also a perfect source of protein, as one of the best types of nut. Due to its rich aminogram, the butter is a perfect ingredient in vegetarian and vegan diets.
The honey used in the product has a positive effect on the assimilation of the nutrients contained in other products; it contains many valuable nutrients such as sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, and magnesium, and many vitamins (A, C, PP, B vitamins). 
Coconut (coconut oil) contains up to 50% lauric acid. This is a saturated fat with 12 atoms of carbon, which increases the total level of blood cholesterol more than any other fatty acids. The increase is connected with its elevated levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL). As a result, lauric acid is characterised by a more-beneficial effect on total cholesterol and HDL molecules than any other fatty acids, and the lower total cholesterol to serum HDL ratio correlates with a reduced risk of atherosclerosis. [2, 3] Medium-chain fatty acids (MCT), including lauric acid, have totally different properties from the "infamous" fatty acids. First of all, they are metabolised in a totally different way from other fatty acids: they are transferred from the digestive tract directly to the liver, where they are used as a quickly absorbable source of energy, or they are changed into so-called ketone compounds, which can have a therapeutic effect on the nervous system in cases of such diseases as epilepsy and Alzeimer's disease. 
ANOTHER SOURCE OF ENERGY = A MORE-BENEFICIAL SOLUTION?
For athletes it is especially important that there is access to an alternative source of energy, and in the case of MCT it is particularly beneficial. Using medium-chain fatty acids during training allows you to retain glucose and amino acids, which prevent the degradation of protein, and during the reduction of the fat tissue (MCT provide less energy than LCT, and less tendency to be stored in the form of fat tissue), there is stronger activation of thermogenesis after meals.
